Oh good lord…
Hugely expensive leads that do nothing..funny article.
Reminds me of Tom, to be fair. Spent hundreds cabling his cars up with oxygen free gold heavy duty lossless audio cable, several amplifiers, crossovers, cutoffs, band-pass filtering, industrial sized subwoofer, and major 6×9 speakers with discrete tweeters…all linked to a succession of “out there” stereo/CD decks.
Yes, while stationary it sounded good..but while you’re driving you have tyre noise, engine/exhaust noise, and constantly altering acoustic parameters…
I never did point it out though. I just smiled when the sub cut in and the headlamps dimmed..I had bog standard factory audio in my cars, and yes it’s not as distinct, but it’s more than good enough to scare people with AC/DC..:)
That said, in my old Renault 11, I had 2 radios. One below the other in the console. Both wired up as well. Why? In case the passengers in the back wanted to listen to a different thing to me..:)
