Karl’s Asylum ... for the terminally deranged

I’ve now got Xubuntu “Edgy” running dualboot with XP on the laptop. Nothing overly new there…”Hoary” and “Dapper” worked OK too. The difference is, Edgy detected my Linksys WPC11v4 Wifi card!!

Even though the Wiki and most things I’ve read say “you need Ndiswrapper and the XP driver to use this card in Edgy”, my card was ready and running as soon as I finished the install! OK, it took a few minutes to configure it for the router, but…it works..:)

I’ve got Thunderbird 1.5.0.8 and Firefox 2….and I’ve got speed…not bad at all.
