Karl’s Asylum ... for the terminally deranged

Following on from our recent Tiscali service problems (now resolved) that Jem posted about, where we lost FTP/VPN/Mail access etc and were told it was a “business class” usage on a home package, I’ve been having problems posting in there (usually flaky) Vbulletin forums.

Today, I just noticed why….user “Jemma” is Banned! Now, this is news to me…unless criticising them and posting in our own site is a bannable offense I can see no reason for it.

So I’ve now e-mailed them requesting a reasoned justification for it, or a resolution. Tch. If we move, I’m wanting to ask on there about moving their ADSL with us, and contractual issues if we do.

Of course, if they get snotty…well…I’ll stop the Direct Debit, and go alsewhere. I really do have more options than they do..

Right..time to go and look at prospective new 3 bedroom rental place, viewing 2..with a bigass camera..

EDIT: Well, first fuckup of 2008 has now happened…and it’s my fault. Ah well. Executing a 3 point turn in the carpark, I was that busy trying to ignore Jem ranting about the driver sat in our allocated space that I reversed..into a Ford Focus. Sigh.

My bumper hit his..my bumper is unpainted, his is..he now has grey marks on it. Gah. He’s a nice old chap though..very understanding, and he’s going to try and polish it out if he can, and touch it up to save on the insurance hassle..but it might go through the insurance if he can’t.

Ah well..second accident at age 30. 2 in 14 years..one slide on diesel into another van, and one low speed parking nudge. Could be worse, I suppose.

Not what we need though, especially if it hits the insurance. More costs at the time we’re looking to move? Not helpful.
