Where has the time gone? Lets see..work - nothing major going on yet, so not there…
Ah yes, it’ll be moving and the organisation thereof. As much fun as Flat 6 has been (and it HAS been most enjoyable), We’ve all but got the keys to a new place..3 bedrooms, kitchen/diner/living room, front and rear gardens and a garage. Keys are being done on Friday!
Why are we moving? Well..this place is stunningly convenient for Jem - she works downstairs. For me it’s a short trip to work. It’s a 4 room flat though..double height ceilings, wood framed single glazing, naff all chance of draughtproofing and only storage heaters to heat it.
In short, it’s cold. it’s lovely, yes..but it’s a bit small sometimes, it’s a bugger to heat, and a bit noisy on occasion. So, we decided to look around as our contract is up for renewal in April. One cottage came up that we went to see..tiny, on a ruddy great sheer hill, but a nice garden and a shed. Sort of tempting.
Then we saw this new place…went to see, and it looked a bit of a bomb site. Lots of mods to the inside, tatty, fair bit of damage. However, it had gardens, a patio, a garage, loads of space, double glazing…so we decided to go for it. I’m glad we did - the landlord has got in a team of decorators and the place looks totally transformed when we peered through the window. I’m really excited about getting the keys!
It’ll be nice to have warm central heating, draughtproof glazing, and loads of space to play with. One bedroom can contain the PC and PC bits, one for us, and the other for guests/Hex.
I’m going to enjoy seeing him exploring it..he’s gone from being a small kitten to a large, black, acrobatic and very talkative character, with bags of energy and a laid back lazy approach to things. I think he’ll go mental..a whole ground floor of slippery tiles!
4 room flat? Are you hiding a room I don’t know about dear?
no..living room/kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, hall. 4 rooms, all seperable.
