Disorganisation
This annoys me. More specifically, this is a rant against Jem’s college-TCAT.
You organise a Paris trip. I have no problem with that. It requires a passport-that’s also fine. It’s educational, thats cool. However, you ask for a £30 non-refundable deposit, then a further £150 for the trip. This, it transpires amounts not even to food on the trip.
Jem wanted to go on this trip. I want her to, as it makes her happy, and it’ll be her first. However, a lot of the impetus behind this carrying on is the fact that at times, this has stressed Jem and she won’t back out because she’ll lose the deposit.
They’ve got the money together, the passport was a nightmare but it’s sorted. However, NOW you also tell her that it’s not a bad idea to bring £60 for “spending money”, and food as the cost isn’t covered? GREAT JOB GUYS!
There is a small thing known as “COMMUNICATION”, that suggests you should try and inform the relevant parties of ALL costs and needs concerned BEFORE they agree to anything.
You failed miserably in that. You’ve caused nothing but stress with this.
On that score as well, you organisation of things is frankly crap. We found out on Friday with a letter that Jem also needs an E111 form for this trip. You MUST have known well in advance. In this letter, you state there is a final meeting on Monday for this and other things to be checked. The trip is on Tuesday. One of Jem’s lecturers was asked about it and stated “you don’t need one, we’ll deal with it.” Hence, we didn’t get one, until Jem found out BY CHANCE, by ASKING for this letter that she needed it. No thanks to you guys, Jem’s mum was able to sort that over this weekend. Organisation? Don’t make me laugh.
I’ll tell you for nothing, if it had been me in Jems place, I’d have taken action against you lot in the form of complaints, and possibly taken legal advice on your misleading advice.
I just hope you run the trip better than you can organise it. To be honest, I’ll be glad and rest easier when it’s over and she’s back in the UK, where you’re not the ones responsible for her safety.
No thanks to you guys, Jem’s mum was able to sort that over a weekend, and Jem went on the trip.
Pissup and Brewery come mysteriously to mind. Hmm..wonder why?
